The story behind

Founded in 2018 by Lina, Moonshine Vintage began as a carefully curated vintage label - a love letter to the timeless elegance of the 1960s and 1970s.

What started with rare, handpicked pieces soon grew into a collection of sustainably made designs crafted in the Netherlands: western wear, handmade bags, and accessories that sold out time and again. Every piece carries a story, stitched with soul, made to celebrate the beauty of the past and the artistry of the present

Today, Moonshine lives somewhere between a vintage archive and a slowly evolving collection. Every week, one-of-a-kind vintage finds are shared through our Instagram Stories - pieces discovered for their rarity, beauty or simply because we couldn’t leave them behind

From time to time, these discoveries and inspirations come together in small collections on our webshop: a bridal collection, western wear, or entirely handmade pieces such as the Paloma Skirt. Nothing is produced simply to fill a collection. We make and collect what we genuinely love, in limited quantities, with the hope that it will find its way into someone else’s story

Western Wear

Western wear has been at the heart of Moonshine Vintage from the very beginning. Inspired by iconic 1950s western shirts and suits, we fell in love with their exceptional embroidery, craftsmanship and unmistakable character.

Over the years, this inspiration grew into our own designs, made in a small atelier together with our skilled tailor in the Netherlands. We also mastered the art of chainstitch embroidery on an antique Cornely machine. Our designs cumulated in a handful of shirts and seven fully embroidered custom western suits to date, for artists performing on stages around the world.
